Paweena (Pun) Khamwisaeng,
Assistant to the Director

After earning a degree in mass communications, Pun worked as a newspaper reporter for a few months. She realized pretty quickly that it wasn't for her, and began job searching. She bounced around from job to job for a while, until she came to know the Lord. God opened up an opportunity for her to work with a helping organization, providing tsunami recovery and child sponsorship. It was during this type of work that she found her calling. Being friends with Ann (Beginnings Director) already, she was invited to work part time for Beginnings Foundation doing translation, and the rest is history!

Pun loves the challenge that comes from her work at Beginnings, including event planning planning and communication. She especially enjoys her weekly life skills training with the young residents at Beginnings. She finds true purpose in transforming those who receive, into the next generation of helpers. In her free time, she loves to watch psychology videos on YouTube, and is so grateful for the brothers and sisters in Christ she has been able to befriend through Beginnings.

Maneewan (Wan) Sihalad,
Pattaya house & Grounds Keeper

Wan was born and raised in Laos, and has a background in education and finance. After moving to Thailand to be with her sister, she found herself working with her sister in a red light district area as a waitress. After a few months, her sister, who had previously been to a Beginnings Christmas party, went to Ann and asked her to take Wan in. Wan moved into Beginnings, and shortly after gave her life to Christ. In 2012, Wan moved out to be with her husband, and they were blessed with a son, Nawa. Sadly, her husband was killed in an accident when Nawa was only 2 years old. In her time of need, God led her back to Beginnings Foundation, and she has been with us ever since!

Wan lives in Pattaya, where she keeps the house and garden maintained and clean, fills in caring for the young residents, and does outreach. She loves to study the Bible, listen to worship music, and eat spicy food! After everything she has been through, she has a burden for others to receive what she has been given: the great agape love of God.

Libby (Sa) Bundrick,
Volunteer

Libby grew up in Thailand as a missionary kid from the U.S., and has a lifelong love of Thai people, culture, and of course, food! At 18, she moved back to America to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication Arts, and a master’s degree in Crisis Response & Trauma Counseling from Liberty University. In 2012, Libby visited Beginnings Foundation in Bangkok, and her eyes were opened to the harsh realities of women working in the sex industry. She knew God was calling her to become more involved with the fight to end sexual exploitation, and in 2019, God provided for her family to move to Thailand long-term.

Libby lives in Pattaya with her husband, Brian, and their two young children. When she isn’t busy supporting Beginnings through social media, design, English lessons, and outreach, she loves to watercolor, tend to her plants, and go hunting for iced Thai tea lattes.
